The Department of Immunobiology presents: "Mechanisms Regulating cGAS-STING Activation in Cancer"
When
May 12, 2026, 11 a.m. – Noon
Presenter Details
Min-Guk Cho, Ph.D.
Research Associate, Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center
University of North Carolina
Dr. Cho's research focuses on how DNA damage repair, innate immunity, and genomic instability intersect to influence cancer progression. He studies how cGAS-STING pathway and MRE11 regulate immune signaling and cell death, shaping tumor suppression and therapeutic response. He's broadly interested in uncovering molecular mechanisms of cGAS-STING pathway that connect genome maintenance with immunity to identify new strategies for cancer treatment. Read more
