Sangeetha Senthil Kumar received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and previously held an independent faculty position at SASTRA Deemed University, where she led a funded research program on metabolite-driven regulation of cellular stress pathways in cancer. Her work has defined how bioactive metabolites modulate stress-response pathways and metabolic programs in cancer. In the Department of Immunobiology, her research focuses on how metabolic and microbial signals shape innate and adaptive immune responses, with emphasis on inflammasome biology, host–microbe interactions, and adaptive immune dynamics in ischemic stroke.
