Anh "Evy" Nguyen

Graduate Assistant, Rhodes Lab

Evy was born and raised in Vietnam and moved to the United States at 16 as a foreign exchange student. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Bioinformatics from the University of Arizona in 2022. During her undergraduate years, she conducted research in mycology and bacteriology within the Schools of Plant Sciences and Animal and Comparative Biomedical Sciences. In 2024, Evy joined Dr. Katherine Rhodes' lab through the ABBS program, where she focuses on studying host-Neisseria genus interactions. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and solving crosswords. Evy also loves learning about history and enjoying her comfort food, Korean BBQ.
