About the presenter:
Dr. Dai received his Ph.D. from Sun Yat-sen University, China and completed his postdoctoral training in lung vascular biology at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Northwestern University. The research interest in his laboratory is studying the cellular mechanisms for severe pulmonary vascular remodeling in pulmonary hypertension and the identification of novel targets for pulmonary hypertension. The lab employs state-of-the-art technologies including genetic lineage tracing, genetic depletion, genetic reporter, and CRISPR-mediated genomic editing, AAV, single-cell RNA-sequencing as well as patient samples to study the molecular mechanisms of pulmonary vascular remodeling and identify novel therapeutics for this devastating disease. The lab is funded by NHLBI Pathway to Independence Award (Parent K99/R00) and ATS Foundation Research Program.
