Dr. Lara Labarta-Bajo studies how the immune system and the brain communicate with each other in the Nicola Allen's lab. Her latest findings reveal a surprising relationship between infections, brain aging, and mobility. She is currently researching the crosstalk between astrocytes and the immune system and its implications for synapses during healthy aging. Read more
