2. Be able to describe 3 bills that were heard but didn’t pass that would have been good for public health in Arizona.
3. Be able to identify 3 bills that were heard and failed that would have been bad for public health.

Heather Carter, EdD, is an assistant professor in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and Associate Director of the AzCRH. She is the State Senator from Dist. 15 (North Phoenix, Scottsdale and Cave Creek) and is chair of Higher Education and Workforce Development committee, vice-chair of the Health and Human Services Committee and sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Will Humble, MPH, has served in the field of public health in Arizona for more than 30 years, working for the Arizona Department of Health Services for 25 years including 6 years as the Director, where he led the initiative to integrate acute care and public health principles into the Arizona’s behavioral health system. He served as the Division Director for Health Policy & Program Evaluation for the Center for opulation Science & Discovery at the University of Arizona, and is currently the Executive Director of the Arizona Public Health Association.
