The Resilience and Independence in Aging Seminar Series is designed to facilitate aging research and to foster new generations of investigators at the University of Arizona to address significant aging research questions. The seminar will bring University of Arizona researchers together to create synergies by sharing research findings and research plans. The series also will provide opportunities for UA researchers to meet and to hear from lead investigators of aging and resilience in other research institutions, specifically Pepper Centers. These activities are the core of the CHiiLi program – the Consortium to Halt Injury and Infection in older adults Leading to Independence. It is a joint effort involving a multidisciplinary team that spans the UA campus, including the UA Center on Aging, Department of Immunobiology, Department of Medicine, College of Medicine – Tucson, Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, BIO5 Institute and UA Health Sciences.
