Presentation Summary: After a brief review of rates and risks to cancer patients from depressive disorders, Dr. Weihs will describe her work to efficiently identify patients with increased risk for depressive disorders in the year after diagnosis. This will be followed by presentation of results from a pilot study of a preventive intervention targeting coping styles with potential to reduce depression risk over time.
