American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) welcomes the incoming class to our ‘surviving med school’ panel on Tuesday, July 21st at 5:30pm to provide advice, answer questions you may have, and welcome you to UA and this profession! We will cover topics such as how to balance life and school, what it’s like to be a woman in med school, and advice about how to succeed during your first year of medical school. We have panelists from every year and many backgrounds, so please feel free to join if you are MS2/MS3 and have questions about any years ahead of you too. (also, we welcome everyone to chime in during the discussion) As always, people who don’t identify as women (e.g. ‘He for She’ allies and nonbinary folks) are encouraged to join our events too! This event will not be recorded.
Panelists are MS2-MS4 medical students at UA-COMT:
- Britt D.K. Gratreak (MS2 MD/PhD) - moderator
- Julia Morris (MS2 MD/PhD)
- Dilara Onur (MS4)
- Swetha Atluri (MS2)
- Cassandra Villa (MS3)
- Rosemarie Turk (MS2)
- China Rae Newman (MS4)
Zoom - email Britt (grat@email.arizona.edu) if you have not recieved the registration link through the listserv.
