Omar Hussein

Medical Student

Omar Hussein was a Neuroscience major who graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Arizona. He received the Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award for the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science Summer Research Program in 2015 and is now a medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. While in the Doyle lab Omar performed scanning and transmission electron microscopy of chronic stroke infarcts to determine how well they are compartmentalized from adjacent brain tissue.
