Hello IMB and CMM departments and new ABBS students!

With the beginning of the Fall Semester, we would like to introduce this year's Saturday Science Socials! This is a tradition the IMB department has carried on for several years with great success, and this year the CMM department will be joining forces with us for even more fun! These socials are a chance for department members, new students, and their friends and family to get together to eat good food, discuss relevant scientific topics, and generally hang out and have a good time. We meet on the grass in front of the pharmacy building (East of BIO5 and the MRB, North of the pharmacy building).

The first Social will occur on Thursday, September 3, at 5:00 pm. We hope to see you there!

Please also save the dates for future Saturday Science Socials:

    • Saturday, Sept 19
    • Saturday September 26
    • Saturday, Oct 24
    • Saturday, Nov. 14
    • One of the 1st home basketball games (TBD)

We would also appreciate suggestions for discussion topics! What would you most be interested in discussing about hot topics in science, career development, how to succeed in today's world of scientific research, or general science topics? If you want a voice in the discussion topics, please send an email to krystamf@email.arizona.edu.
