Friday, November 17, 2017 - 11:30am to 1:00pm

Dr Gordon Ewy will share memories of the early days of the medical school and the hospital.  He will reflect on some of the decisions that the initial faculty had to make and early cooperation between hospital and the medical school faculty.  Dr. Ewy will also discuss the “town- gown” interaction, experience with his first patients, cardiovascular surgery, and early experience with the FBI!

The buffet lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and Dr. Ewy's presentation will start at noon.

The Founder’s Day Lecture is an occasion when we pause to honor the individuals whose scientific contributions allow the College of Medicine – Tucson to pursue its mission and fulfill its vision.  The day is named in recognition of all those people, past and present, who have participated in the establishment and growth of the college.

This lecture is free and open to the public but please R.S.V.P. HERE BEFORE November 9, 2017.
