Cord Blood Transplantation and Gene Therapy
a. cord blood banking and clinical transplantation; b. cord blood transplantation models; c. cord blood gene therapy for AIDS, cancer and genetic diseases. Immunotherapy and gene therapy of cancer: gene therapy vaccine approaches to cancer; d. combination immunotherapy and gene therapy to treat cancer. Novel ways to prevent graft-versus-host disease and graft rejection in transplantation: a. induction of donor-specific tolerance for organ transplants and b. depletion of recipient-specific T cells for stem cell transplants. Immunotoxicology: effects of jet fuel exposure on the immune system.
